I'm in the process of reading a very interesting book written by author Rupert Hughes¹, Why I Quit Going To Church. It was written in 1924, but it's amazing at how relevant it still is today. Some things never change I guess.

It's not that I have anything against religion per se; some people probably need that sort of structure in their lives to help them overcome their problems. The thing of it is, praying to an invisible man in the sky will have pretty much the same effect as praying to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

In this respect I'm of the same viewpoint as author and radical atheist Douglas Adams. However, if you really need to choose a religion, you might as well choose one that's fun, y'know?

Xydexx is thinking of selling it, since he's decided he has "too many inflatables"¹ at this point. (He's keeping us reindeer, however!)

Saw some pool toys in Target today. Tempted to buy them, but I've got so many already! I should take some sort of census and see just how many I have.

Bought from a company in Europe because these aren't sold in the US.
